RENEW is more than a conference on our calendar. It is a season when our church intentionally seeks the presence of God, gathers around His Word, and asks him to transform us by the renewal of our minds.

We cannot create renewal; only God can transform a heart. But we can prepare the room, welcome the person, remove distractions, and serve with expectation. Every cup poured, guest welcomed, shirt folded, microphone checked, and song led helps make room for someone to encounter Jesus.

RENEW is more than a conference; it is a season designed to help life change take root. We prepare our hearts before we gather, make space for God to renew us together, and continue walking out that renewal in community afterward. Our hope is not simply a powerful week, but lasting transformation as people follow Jesus completely.

Renewal begins before we ever enter the room. Through prayer and fasting, we quiet competing voices, turn our attention toward God, and ask Him to prepare our hearts for everything He wants to do.

Baptism Weekend gives us an opportunity to celebrate the visible fruit of God’s renewing work. As people publicly declare their faith in Jesus, our whole church gets to witness and rejoice in stories of new life.

How we serve

Serving at RENEW is about more than completing a task. It is an opportunity to reflect Jesus and help others encounter Him. These six values shape the posture and purpose we bring to every role.

Follow Jesus

Before we are volunteers, we are disciples. We stay close to Jesus, follow His example, and allow His love to shape how we serve every person.

First Response

Prayer is our first response, not our last resort. Before we make plans, solve problems, or step into our roles, we ask God to lead us and work through us.

For All People

Every person matters to God. Regardless of someone’s background, we help create a place where they can encounter Jesus and know they belong.

For One More

Behind every crowd is a person God deeply loves. We look beyond our tasks to notice the one who feels overlooked or far from Jesus.

First & Best

God gave his first and best in Jesus, so we respond by bringing Him ours. We arrive prepared, serve wholeheartedly, and love open-handedly.

Filled with Faith

God still changes hearts, restores hope, and transforms lives. We serve with expectation because we know He can do more than we could ask or imagine.

We want you to feel prepared, confident, and ready to serve. Find answers to common questions below, and reach out to your Team Leader if you need anything else.

Team members should park in the designated spaces farthest from the building or at Gresham Middle for the Volunteer Shuttle. It’s a simple way we can bring our first and best by leaving the closest spaces open for guests. 

Yes! Every RENEW Team member will receive a one-time $10 off for any merch during the conference. Due to limited inventory, we can't open the merch stores at special times, so we encourage all team members to be proactive!

Yes! RENEW Kids opens at 4:30pm each evening so parents serving on a team can check in their children before preparing for the night.

Your Team Leader is your first point of contact for questions about your role, schedule, or team. You can also reach out to your Ministry Director if you need additional help.

Arrival times may vary by team and role. Your Team Leader will provide your specific call time and let you know where to check in.

Wear your RENEW Team shirt along with comfortable, role-appropriate clothing and shoes. Your Team Leader will communicate any additional guidelines for your area.

Contact your Team Leader as soon as possible. Early communication gives your leader time to adjust the plan and make sure the team is fully supported.

Yes! Let your Team Leader know your availability so they can place you where you’ll be most helpful without overextending you.
