Our Vision

Our vision is to be a thriving, Christ-centered community that transforms lives and impacts our city and beyond with God’s love. We aspire to be a beacon of hope, welcoming all people to experience the life-changing power of Jesus, grow in their faith, and live out their purpose. Through intentional discipleship, compassionate outreach, and empowering leadership, we seek to inspire generations to follow Jesus and make a lasting impact on our world.

Our Beliefs

From the creation of the universe to God’s purpose for each of us, these are a few of the core beliefs of our faith. The following is a quick overview of some core tenets of our faith and what we teach at Fountain City Church. For a more in-depth look at the doctrine to which we ascribe, tap on Full Doctrine.

FULL DOCTRINEASK A QUESTION

We believe God exists eternally both as one essence and three distinct persons each of whom is fully God: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We express this as the Trinity.

God has made Himself known to humanity in and through Jesus Christ, Scripture, and His creation (the heavens and the earth). We believe in the authority and inerrancy of the Bible, which teaches us how to worship God and bring Him glory.

We believe that God created the universe from nothing and sovereignly governs all things at all times in all places.

Sin entered the world and everything changed. We believe every man and woman has sinned and falls short of the glory of God, deserving God’s wrath and desperately needing salvation.

John 3:16; Acts 2:22-39; Romans 3:21-24

Not only do we have hope, but hope has a name! We believe in the powerful, risen, victorious name of Jesus. We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

We believe that the Church is the bride of Christ and and that every believer should be identified with a local body of believers for the purpose of mutual encouragement, spiritual growth, and accountability.

We believe that Jesus Christ has called every believer to follow Him and to go into the world to make disciples who follow Christ completely.

Leadership

We believe the church is the bride of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5:25-27; Revelation 19:7-9), and therefore we trust in our Savior as the ultimate leader of both the global church as well as here at Fountain City Church. We also believe Scripture lays the groundwork for God to call believers to hold positions of leadership whom He works through day by day.

Our Elders

Scripture points to the office of “Elder” (Acts 14:3; Titus 1:6-9) to be the shepherds of the church family, entrusted with teaching the Gospel and leading us in Following Christ Completely.

Our Pastors

Our pastors serve the church family by teaching God’s Word, caring for people, and equipping each of us for the work God has called us to do (Ephesians 4:11–13). Together with our elders, they provide spiritual leadership as we grow in Following Christ Completely.

Directors & Support Staff

Our directors and support staff help turn ministry vision into faithful action. Through leadership, organization, creativity, and care, they support the everyday work of the church and help create opportunities for people to know Jesus, find community, and take their next step in Following Christ Completely (1 Peter 4:10–11).
