We believe the church is the bride of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5:25-27; Revelation 19:7-9), and therefore we trust in our Savior as the ultimate leader of both the global church as well as here at Fountain City Church. We also believe Scripture lays the groundwork for God to call believers to hold positions of leadership whom He works through day by day.
Scripture points to the office of “Elder” (Acts 14:3; Titus 1:6-9) to be the shepherds of the church family, entrusted with teaching the Gospel and leading us in Following Christ Completely. We also have pastors and directors who lead specific ministries within our church and invaluable administrative staff who support our church in countless ways.

PASTORS
DONNY WADLEY
Lead Pastor
Donny has been the lead pastor of Fountain City Church since its beginning in 2017. He has a BA in Ministry from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College. Donny has a heart to see our church be both in Fountain City and for Fountain City, a church of disciples who seek to Follow Christ Completely. He has been married to his beautiful wife, Debi, for over 20 years and has 5 children, Meghan, Aly, James, Trey & Maddie.
DAVID WILLIAMS
Executive Pastor of Ministries
David and his wife, Chrissy, have been at Fountain City Church since its beginning in 2017. David has a degree in Mathematics from UT Knoxville. He came to Fountain City Church as our Worship Pastor and transitioned to XP of Ministries in 2024. David fell in love with his wife, Chrissy, leading worship together in 2008, and they were married in 2011. They have two sons, Carter (born in 2015) and Duncan (born in 2018).

Executive Pastor of Operations
David and his wife, Becky, have been at Fountain City Church since its beginning in 2017. He and his family spent many years in Mexico sharing the good news of Christ and rejoicing in God’s work there. He has a heart for seeing people know God and become mobilized to make disciples of Jesus Christ both in Knoxville and around the world. He has three children: Susanna, Bowden and Katie, as well as a growing amount of wonderful grandchildren.

Youth Pastor
Jared and his wife Sara started coming Fountain City Church in September of 2020. Jared is graduating from Johnson University with a Bachelor’s in Ministry & Church Leadership in May of 2023. Jared is passionate about the next generation having a place to belong as they grow in their relationship with Christ and with others. He also has a heart for discipleship and raising up leaders. Jared and Sara have one son Bennett.
